Day 3 Kyoto Part 2/2 Fushimi Inari Shrine

From Kinkakuji, we then made our way to Fushimi Inari Shrine, the head shrine of Inari. As Inari is the god of prosperity & business, each torii gate there is donated by a Japanese business. The view there is stunning the the hundreds or thousand of torii gates leading up the hill forming a pathway to walk. On the top of the mountain, there are hundred of mounds for provate worship. We did not make it to the top of the mountain as it was getting dark.

Fushimi Inari Shrine, is located withing very short walking distance from the Inari station ( 2 stops away from Kyoto station ).

Pic 12: Where does this path lead to?

Pic 13: Business names?

Pic 14: Where does it end?

Pic 15: Still do not see the end after 10mins of walk
Pic 16: Finally came to an open ground. Barely 5% of the Torii trail.

Pic 18: After 20 minutes, we seem lost but continued on with the hike.

Pic 19: Came to a pond and passed a number of mounds. Decided to move on.

Pic 21: Finally after close to 1hour of hike + picture taking, we reach this sign. We are at the big "dot" as highlighted in the map. If we turn right, it will lead us up the mountain to the loop. As it was getting dark we decided return back by using the other route.

Pic 22: Looking straight ahead, that would be the path leading uphill.

Pic 23: Came across few houses on the way downhill

Pic 27: After 30 mins, we finally made it to the foot of the hill
We left Kyoto around 7pm and took the JR back to Namba station. There we went to Dotonbori street. I wonder why I did not come to this place earlier since it is only a 15-20minutes walk from our hotel.

Pic 30: The expression says it all

Pic 31: The Best ramen shop. Seriously... thats what is written on the sign and attracted us into the shop.

Pic 32: You will need to order through the vending machine and pass the ticket to the waitress.

Pic 34: Another ramen shop on Dotonbori Street. We came here the next day.
We walk around until we reach Takashimaya. Isn't the building structure interesting? Kind of remind me of Paris. After that we walk back to our hotel.
